The Faster and Fastest offerings are available as a 24-month contract option that includes a free modem with a micro filter/splitter combo. The R705.20 installation charge is not levied if you opt for the Self Installation Option. If you are unable to successfully complete the self-installation, access the online self help troubleshooter or contact the DSL helpdesk at 10210. If you are still unsuccessful with the SIO, you can opt for a Telkom technician to install the service. However, you will be liable to pay the R705.20 (VAT inclusive) installation fee if a Telkom technician or Telkom appointed contractor is required to complete the installation. An installation is deemed complete once your modem is installed and the service is demonstrated to be in working order on the technician's test equipment. Telkom technicians are not required to install your personal computer, but will demonstrate that the service is working on a test laptop or similar equipment.

"Local" only applies to servers that are hosted in South Africa. Local data is uncapped on all packages and out-of-bundle usage is charged at R15.00 per GB.

How is DSL billed?

The DSL related prices are incremental (over and above) to your existing telephone monthly line rental, installation charge and telephone/fax calls.

The following line entries will appear on your bill once you subscribe:

Telephone Services

DSL installation (once-off) DSL modem (once-off) Your DSL access (monthly) Residential or Business service - Exchange connection (monthly) Residential or Business service - Exchange connection installation (once-off)

If you already have an exchange connection then you will not pay the line installation.

Pay for your DSL modem once-off or over a six or twelve month period.
A call out charge will apply should you require Telkom's assistance on your DSL access service after your DSL installation was successfully completed.
The DSL access entry will state the service speed that you have subscribed to.
The DSL access will include an entry that states "Bundle", should you opt for a 24-month contract.
A cancellation penalty applies to the bundles. See terms and conditions.
